EARTHQUAKES 2.0

Alessandro Amato

Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia

The ancient and recent seismic Italian history, until the last earthquake that hit the Abruzzo and Emilia. In this presentation we will discuss the scientific, human and social earthquake aspects, with special attention to the science and risk communication, from traditional media to social networks. After the L’Aquila events and the process that followed, we will reflect on the relationship between science and society and the public role of researchers.
